Full-Day Programme · 8:30 AM–6:00 PM

A longer day that balances learning, practice, rest and routine.

The Full-Day Programme combines the KSS school day with a complete afternoon routine. Additional hours are balanced across rest, meals, reinforcement, creativity, movement and independence.

How the day works

Different priorities across the full day

Morning to midday

KSSR Special Education academics, IEP goals, communication, regulation and functional learning.

Early afternoon

Meal routines, self-care and learning reinforcement suited to the learner’s energy.

Mid-afternoon

Projects, art, movement, structured play, social learning and daily living skills.

Late afternoon

Rest, snack arrangements, tidying and preparation for authorised collection.

Who may benefit

Wellbeing remains central to the decision

  • The family requires support through the afternoon
  • The child has shown they can manage a longer day
  • Structured after-school routines have a clear benefit
  • Eating, rest and communication needs can be supported safely
  • A full day is not expected to compromise regulation or wellbeing

Plan before the first day

Meals, health, rest and collection

Families should share accurate information so the programme can be planned safely.

  • Food allergies and sensitivities
  • Texture or feeding concerns
  • Medication and medical plans
  • Toileting and personal care routines
  • Signs of fatigue or overload
  • How the learner asks for a break
  • Authorised collector information

Your next step

Full-Day should fit the child—not only the family timetable.
